Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) increases oxygen levels in the body, supporting healing and improving cell function. In addition to recovery from surgery, chronic conditions, injuries and fatigue, HBOT can provide effective treatment for some medical conditions, strengthening the immune response and enhancing the body’s function, healing processes, vitality and wellbeing. This safe, comfortable and relaxing treatment takes place inside a specially designed ambient chamber.
Try oxygen therapy to relieve muscle tension, boost the immune system, improve circulation and digestion, reduce stress and enhance sleep, for clearer skin, greater vitality, and quicker recovery from sport. HBOT is non-intrusive, suitable for children, recommended pre and post surgery and is used an adjunctive therapy in sports medicine to accelerate recovery for athletes. HBOT is a safe, drug-free therapy that can be used regularly without any danger of oxygen toxicity. Regular repeated sessions enhance the effectiveness of oxygen therapy. Proponents for HBOT include numerous doctors, health care providers and individuals for whom this therapy has been beneficial.

Normal blood flow
There is 21% oxygen in the air that we breathe, and our lungs transfer this oxygen to our red blood cells (via hemoglobin). These oxygen-filled red blood cells are carried around the body by the plasma (fluid), which travels through the blood vessels. The oxygen diffuses into the surrounding tissue ensuring that it is delivered to where it is needed most.
Restricted blood flow
When there is a restriction (obstruction) in blood flow due to surgery, illness, or injury, the red blood cells block the blood vessel and are unable to transfer oxygen to the cells on the other side of the obstruction. This causes swelling and starves the area of oxygen, causing hypoxia (a lack of oxygen) when this occurs the tissue begins to break down.
Breathing oxygen under pressure causes the oxygen to diffuse into the blood plasma, allowing it to travel past restrictions, diffusing further into the tissue and providing the body with at a lot more than its normal supply of oxygen to help repair tissue damaged by the original obstruction. HBOT directly increases the saturation of tissue oxygenation, restoring blood supply to the compromised region.
